BREYCON Construction—previously known as St. Albert Parking Lot Maintenance Ltd. (SAPLM)—is proudly family-owned and operated in Edmonton, Alberta. We pride ourselves in our local presence and community roots by providing a personalized approach to every project. We are passionate about building lasting relationships with our customers, communities, and industry professionals and delivering consistently quality service on every project.
With over 30 years of experience, we have earned our reputation for providing exceptional results across a range of sectors, including commercial, industrial, private, and municipal.
Our History
BREYCON Construction retains SAPLM’s reputation, expertise, and values under a fresh and modern brand that more accurately reflects our business, services, and customers. Founded in 1986 in St. Albert, Alberta, SAPLM initially focused on small-scale paving, patching and maintenance services. In 2016, Josh and Falynn Schellenberg acquired SAPLM, expanding its capabilities into a Civil General Contractor, specializing in asphalt paving, full-depth civil construction, and earthworks.
SAPLM has earned a long-standing and trusted reputation serving customers throughout Alberta. Building on the company's specialized services and background, it has diversified into a full-service Civil General Contractor, capable of fulfilling a suite of civil construction needs including parking lot construction, paving, utility installation, large-scale excavation, landscaping, and seasonal maintenance, all while upholding our values of integrity, safety, quality, and consistency. Moving forward as the newly branded BREYCON Construction, the business will continue to focus on building trusted industry and community relationships, providing consistently quality projects and services, and is committed to building on our legacy and shaping our Alberta communities as a proud local, family-owned business.

The Breycon Team
Josh Schellenberg
Growing up on a farm in Northern Alberta and competitively playing sports his entire youth, Josh has demonstrated his relentless work ethic, competitiveness, and passion which has translated to his success. Starting with SAPLM in 2008 as a labourer, Josh’s leadership and skill proved valuable and eventually worked his way up to equipment operator, then foreman, and eventually in 2016 acquired the businesses with his wife Falynn Schellenberg.
Falynn Schellenberg
Falynn grew up in Saskatchewan, spending time renovating with her mother, and working with her dad in the family construction business, Morsky Construction. Eventually transplanting to Alberta to attend university, Falynn graduated from NAIT – Architectural Technologies in 2009 and then MacEwan University – Bachelor of Commerce in 2014. Josh and Falynn spend their extra time raising/chasing their 3 children (twin girls Bridget and Bailey, and son Colton), while enjoying a little bit of lake-life and occasionally playing a very average game of golf.
